I am currently looking to acquire a Canon 5D Mark II digital SLR
as well as a new 2.53GHz 15-inch MacBook Pro w/AppleCare Protection Plan.
At the time of this writing, the Canon 5D Mark II camera body is $2,699.95 before taxes,
and the MacBook Pro w/AppleCare is $2,848.00 before taxes.
In exchange, I can provide a multitude of creative services to a person, group, or organization
who is willing to purchase this equipment for me.
I am willing to provide two weeks of my time in exchange for the Canon 5D Mark II
or four weeks of my time in exchange for both the Canon 5D Mark II and the MacBook Pro w/Applecare.
For each week of my time
I can provide up to six, 12-hour days of creative services.
Therefore, two weeks would be comprised of up to twelve 12-hour days of work,
and four weeks would be comprised of up to twenty-four 12-hour days of work.
My standard day-rate for creative services is $1000 per day,
so twelve days over two weeks of my time would normally be priced at about $12,000
and twenty-four days over four weeks of my time would normally be priced at $24,000.
This is a rare opportunity for an interested person, group, or organization
to receive my creative services at a substantially lower cost than is typical.

-Why I Am Doing This-
While I have been very fortunate to be able to obtain all of the equipment I have been using over the years,
my equipment is relatively old and not up to current professional standards for my line of creative work.
My MacBook is not powerful enough to process high-definition video in a timely manner
and I do not own a high-definition video camera, which impedes my ability to get more freelance work.
In addition, the market for freelance creative services has been tremendously impacted
by the current economic recession, resulting in a substantial decrease in the amount
of freelance creative work available around my area of residence.
Moreover, I would like to be able to work with the Canon 5D Mark II in particular
because I feel the revolutionary nature of this camera represents, substantiates,
strengthens, and inspires - my personal artistic vision in numerous ways.

-What I Can Do For You-
I own licensed copies of Final Cut Pro Studio 5.1 as well as Adobe CS3 Web Design Premium,
which includes Photoshop CS3 extended, Flash CS3, Dreamweaver CS3, and Illustrator CS3,
all of which I am proficient with.
Primarily, I can help you produce interactive multimedia projects,
as well as help produce other media across multiple platforms.
I can edit videos for you,
build you an interactive website to showcase your work,
shoot (or assist you in shooting) still photography & video,
train you on how to use certain computer programs,
write articles or scripts for you,
interview subjects for you,
gather or edit audio for you,
help you storyboard or brainstorm,
record voiceovers,
conduct focus groups,
animate motion graphics,
design interactive or printed media,
help you to manage or direct production teams,
provide you with research & development services,
or even speak or act on camera for you if your project requires.

Ideal candidates include, but are not limited to:

My personal knowledge and expertise would probably be best allocated for larger media organizations
such as the New York Times, The Associated Press, NPR, CNN, or any other media organizations
looking for workplace-related training, research & development, problem-solving, restructuring,
or crisis-management.
I could also provide quality testing and research for numerous camera companies (such as Canon),
as well as provide creative advertising and marketing solutions for these companies.

-General Terms-
If interested, you must cover all related sales tax and shipping costs associated with purchasing this equipment.
Moreover, I want to receive the equipment before providing you with my creative services.
Thus, my creative services will act as payment for the equipment,
instead of the equipment acting as payment for my creative services.
You must cover the cost of all round-trip tickets
if you wish for me to travel anywhere
to work with you on-location.
As for housing accommodations, my requirements are very minimal.
I am used to sleeping on a hardwood floor for my posture,
so all I would need would be a heated place for me to sleep in my sleeping bag.
Also, access to a shower and toiletry would be ideal.
While not a requirement, preference will be given to those who can provide me
with access to a gym where I can work-out for a few hours each day.
Preference will also be given to those who can provide me with high-speed internet access
if I am required to work anywhere on-location.
Finally, I would prefer to have Sundays off, but I will work with you around your schedule.
